STUDENT LEADERSHIP
STUDENT ACTION GROUP
This year, we are thrilled to introduce an exciting new initiative: the "Student Action Group." This program offers everyone the opportunity to actively contribute to our school community, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among all participants. One of the standout activities is the Lunch Club, where students prepare toasted sandwiches for selected classes. Additionally, students are involved in preparing items for school events, speaking at gatherings to welcome visitors and families, and playing a crucial role in organising and orchestrating fundraising events for various charities. These activities not only teach valuable life skills but also encourage teamwork and collaboration, instilling a sense of pride in our school.
We eagerly anticipate observing the positive impact of the Student Action Group and are confident that it will further enhance the sense of community and involvement at Jervois Primary School.
YOUNG ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS (YEL)
This group represent our school at forums held each term, which include reps from other local schools. Forums are held at various locations (eg. Swanport Wetlands), each with a different environmental focus which YEL take back to their school to share with students. These forums are organised and supported by the local Natural Resources Management Board (NRM).
