STUDENT COUNCIL (SC)
The Student Council comprises a group of students across all year levels that are supported by the Principal to drive student voice and decision making in a demographic forum.
SC is responsible for organising:
- Fun & Fundraising
- School Improvment
- Learning & Communication
This also involves discussing fair play and behaviours; information sharing with their class and taking their class feedback to meetings. Their main fundraiser in Semester 1 is the annual Wheelathon to support the World Vision Community. In Semester 2 thier main event is the 'themed' school disco.
Check out our fortnightly newsletter to see the regular SC contribution page.
STUDENT LEARNING COMMUNITY (SLC)
Our site has been involved in the Murraylands SLC since its innovative beginnings in 2014. The SLC brings together a group of students to focus on, inform and influence learning. They explore and promote new learning for peers, teachers and the community. Our SLC have opportunities to share and teach onto our whole site at Monday Morning Meetings. From here, students and teachers take back strategies for thinking, learning and working collaboratively to explore further in their classes.
YOUNG ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS (YEL)
This group represent our school at forums held each term, which includes reps from other local schools. Forums are held at various locations (eg. Swanport Wetlands), each with a different environmental focus which YEL take back to their schools to share with students.
